TERMS & CONDITIONS
By accessing and using our website, booking classes, or purchasing services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following detailed Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your use of our website and participation in our courses and services. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services.
1. Enrollment and Registration
1.1 Eligibility
All courses offered by Good Samaritan Lifesavers are open to individuals who meet the specific course prerequisites (e.g., healthcare professionals for ACLS and PALS). By enrolling, you confirm that you meet the required qualifications for the course.
1.2 Registration Process
You are required to complete the online registration form, providing accurate, up-to-date information. Good Samaritan Lifesavers is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect or outdated registration details.
1.3 Confirmation
Once you have successfully registered and paid the required fees, you will receive a confirmation email detailing your course information, including any required pre-course materials or assessments (such as online learning modules).
2. Payment Terms and Refund Policy
2.1 Course Fees
All course fees are clearly displayed on our website. Fees are subject to change at our discretion. The price at the time of booking is the price you will pay, even if future changes occur.
2.2 Payment Methods
Payments are accepted through secure third-party payment processors (e.g., Square). We accept most major credit cards, debit cards and Zelle. For group classes with more than 12 participants, direct deposit is also available. We do not accept checks under any circumstances. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking to confirm your seat in the course.
2.3 Refunds
If you cancel more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled class, you are eligible for a full refund or can reschedule at no additional cost. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable but can be rescheduled for a small fee.
No-shows or missed classes are non-refundable.
2.4 Rescheduling Policy
You may reschedule a class at no cost if the request is made more than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled start time. For rescheduling requests made within 48 hours, a fee may be applied to cover administrative costs.
2.5 Group Training Cancellation
Group training sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 7 days in advance. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the session may incur fees or partial refund forfeitures. Specific terms will be outlined in group contracts.
3. Course Formats and Completion Requirements
3.1 Blended Learning
The majority of our courses follow a blended learning format. This means participants will first complete an online learning portion at their convenience, followed by an in-person skills assessment. Both components must be completed successfully to obtain certification.
3.2 In-Person Skills Assessment
The in-person portion of the course is mandatory for certification. If a participant does not attend or complete this assessment, no certification will be issued, and refunds may not apply.
3.3 Certification
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, you will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) e-card via the email provided during registration. The e-card will be delivered within 24 business hours of completing the skills assessment and is valid for two years.
3.4 Attendance and Tardiness
Full attendance is required for both the online and in-person portions of the course. If you are late for your in-person skills assessment, the instructor may require you to reschedule, which may incur additional fees. Arriving on time ensures you can complete all required components of the course.
